Obama Honors Veterans – VIDEO

In his Memorial Day address at Arlington National Cemetery, President Obama asked the country to remember the sacrifices the troops make to protect the nation. “Today most Americans are not directly touched by war,” the president said, noting that members of the military are concerned that the broader society doesn’t understand their plight. Obama also visited a section of the cemetery where soldiers who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan were buried, and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Earlier in the day, the president and first lady hosted a breakfast for families who lost a loved one fighting overseas.
