US weighs ending spying on allied heads of state

The White House is considering ending its spying on friendly foreign leaders, according to a senior administration official. The move is still under review and a final decision has not been made yet.

The news comes after it was revealed that the National Security Agency was monitoring the communications of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
