Fox News Questions The Patriotism Of American Olympic Athletes
Fox news complains that our athletes this year aren’t “patriotic” enough. I guess winning a total of 54 gold medals as of Saturday night for their country simply doesn’t cut it.

You can see the video here:

David Webb, host of a show on SiriusXM radio, was introduced as a “patriot” as he said the following, “I’m proud to be an American. I was around in 1980; matter of fact I went to school with the younger Eruzione brother, the ‘Miracle on Ice.’ What’s wrong with showing pride? What we’re seeing is this kind of soft anti-American feel in that Americans can’t show our exceptionalism, and frankly, if they are offended about our showing our exceptionalism, they have that right and I don’t care and neither do most Americans. And that’s a fact.”

That is not a fact. And David Webb should probably have statistics to follow such a bold claim. The fact that he said that, isn’t what angers me. That he said that there is an anti-American feel that is somehow propagated by our outstanding athletes is.

Before you start saying our athletes aren’t being patriotic, please go get us our fifty-fifth medal.
