Lockerbie Terror-Bomb Wreckage Returned To Scotland

The wreckage of Pan Am flight 103, which exploded over Lockerbie in December 1988 killing all 259 on board and 11 on the ground, has been returned to Scotland, the Crown Office has confirmed.

The fuselage of the Boeing 747 was reconstructed following the terrorist bombing, and has been stored by the UK’s Air Accident Investigation Branch in Hampshire, England, for the past 24 years. The remains of the aircraft have now been taken to a refurbished hangar in Dumfries, Scotland.
