Did Rob Ford Buy This Billboard In Toronto To Promote Himself?

A billboard supporting Toronto’s embattled mayor arrived on The Gardiner Expressway Friday night, complete with a spelling mistake!

It isn’t clear who paid for the advertisement, but the city of Toronto says it’s investigating the unauthorized use of its logo after a billboard supporting Mayor Rob Ford popped up on the Gardiner Expressway in Etobicoke Friday night.

The billboard, which had been removed by noon Saturday, stated, “We support Rob Ford,” beside an image of City Hall and the word “Toronto” in bold.

The billboard also featured a spelling mistake with the words “Ford = Fiscal Responsiblity (sic).” At the bottom it referenced a biblical verse, “Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone John 8:7 (NLT)” — the latter acronym referring to the New Living Translation of the Bible.
